Abby Moe is an Associate at Nicholson Goetz & Otis, S.C., where she focuses her practice on family law and injunctions (restraining orders). A 2023 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School, she draws on a multifaceted background that enables her to support clients whose legal issues intersect with complex family dynamics.
Before becoming an attorney, Attorney Moe worked as a parent educator and birth doula, guiding families through the early stages of parenthood. These experiences gave her a strong foundation in family systems and child development, which she now applies to cases involving divorce, paternity, and other family-related matters.
In addition to a strong background with families and children, Attorney Moe also has extensive background in mathematics. Prior to making the decision to go into law, Attorney Moe was pursuing a degree in mathematics and her love for numbers has grown into assisting clients with marital balance sheets which clearly outline marital assets and how they should be divided in the divorce, maintenance and maintenance buyout calculations, child support calculations and more.
Since entering practice, Attorney Moe has represented clients in out-of-court settlements, mediations, contested hearings, and trials across a wide range of family law issues. Her work includes litigating matters such as school enrollment disputes, contested property division, and marital property agreements. She also assists clients in achieving mediated resolutions involving custody, placement, exchanges, and financial matters. Throughout each case, she helps clients gather necessary documents, advocates for the client in and out of court, communicates with other parties and the Guardian ad Litem, explains the law and potential outcomes, and provides clients the information they need to make informed decisions.
